You can cancel your insurance at any time. It is recommended that you obtain replacement insurance before you cancel so you don’t have a lapse. If you paid for 6 months of coverage and you cancel it during the middle of the term, the company will reimburse you for the unused days of coverage. 

Depending on the state you live in, there are different requirements or no requirements at all. For example, in the states of Florida, Kansas, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, North Dakota, Hawaii and Utah, the coverage known as personal injury protection is required to be on any insurance policy you purchase. 

Collision coverage covers your vehicle in the case that you were to get into an accident with another vehicle. Comprehensive coverage covers you in the case that your vehicle is damaged due to anything that is not a collision with another vehicle. 

A deductible is a specific limit that the insured chooses to pay in the case that the insured gets in an accident and he needs coverage for his vehicle or medical payments. The deductible applies to comprehensive, collision and personal injury protection. 

Uninsured or underinsured motorist coverage covers you in the case that you get into an accident with somebody who has little to no insurance. In the case that the uninsured/underinsured driver is at fault, this will cover your medical payments. 

Bodily injury is a coverage that covers the medical payments of someone else in the case that you are at fault in an accident and you injure the other driver. 

The limits on coverage is the amount that the insurance company will pay you up to in the case that you get into an accident. For example, if you have limits of $100,000/$300,000 on bodily injury, the limit of $100,000 is per person and the limit of $300,000 is for the entire incident. 

This will vary by the companies that you decide to deal with, but there are a good amount of companies that do offer a homeowner’s discount. 

A bundle is a discount offered by certain insurance companies that is given to you if you have two different policies with them. For example, if you have your home insured with a company and your auto as well. 

The answer to this is yes, all you would have to do is put down the deductible amount and the company will take care of the rest.
